The life of Jay, Jackie, and Holden
The life of Jay, Jackie, and Holden
2007
This web stuff is kinda scary. Not in the sense of being technically difficult or anything like that, but scary in a personal way. How much of our life should we reveal and should it be anything other than pictures and fun stories? Just how many layers of clothes should we wear over the real “us”?
I remember growing up in church and realizing at a young age that everyone seemed to have a bad case of “fineitis”. You know how it goes, “I’m fine” and “You’re fine” and “everybody’s fine”, when no one is really “fine”.
There’s something scary about being honest and real. About sharing not just the smiles and laughter, but also the frowns and tears. And to be honest, I’m not sure yet what this site will be......
Just thinking out loud....
The smooth perfection
of a new morning
the promise
that today
everything will be done
that today
old letters
asking old questions
will be answered
that today
the very best that’s in us
will come out
and will bless
and be blessed
by the smooth perfection
of a new morning
